Agents of the National Police have dismantled in the province of Malaga a criminal organization dedicated to drug trafficking between Spain and France using the “go fast routier” method, which consists of cross the peninsula at high speed using large displacement vehicles stolen or with false license plates, and loaded with hashish.
The so-called ‘Holidays’ operation has culminated with nine people arrested -seven of French nationality and two Spanish-, two of which had in force a European Detention and Surrender Order (OEDE) for drug trafficking issued by the French authorities. In addition, the agents have intervened 1,789 kilos of hashish, six vehicles -two of them denounced as stolen-, a semi-automatic weapon with ammunition and 25,000 euros, among other effects.
The organization, made up mainly of French subjects of Arab origin, transported drugs between Spain and France using vehicles normally stolen, at high speed and supported by other ‘shuttle’ and counter-surveillance vehicles. The drug was stored on a farm in Almáchar (Málaga) used as a “nursery” until transported.
During the investigation, carried out by the UDYCO of Fuengirola, 195 kilos of hashish and a vehicle were seized in the neighborhood of La Palmilla from Malaga capital. The nine detainees – eight men and one woman – are accused of belonging to a criminal organization, drug trafficking, illegal possession of a firearm, robbery / theft of the use of a motor vehicle, falsification of documents and a legal claim. Eight of them have admitted to prison by court order.
