The councilor attached to the Sports and Youth delegation, José Antonio Bandera, and the president of the Golden Boy de Muay Thai sports club of Estepona, Darío Gil, have presented today the VI Muay Thai Evening, which will take place this Saturday, 25 of September, in the Parque del Calvario.

The mayor has indicated that this sporting event has managed to consolidate itself and become an unmissable event for fans of this discipline. Likewise, he wanted to thank the Golden Boy club for the great work they carry out in preparing their fighters, who are achieving important professional successes. He also wanted to wish luck to the fighters who will represent the town, two of which are the current Andalusian Champions of -60 and -56 kilograms.

For his part, the president of CD Golden Boy, Darío Gil, has reported that the show will begin at 6:00 p.m. with a preview in which 12 minors’ fights will be offered. Then, around 8:00 p.m., the adult category matches will take place. The most important ones will be in which the two belts of the Andalusian Championship will be disputed, and that will face the current Andalusian Champion -56 kg, Mohsin of the Golden Boy and the current Andalusian Champion -54kg, Nano of the Camp Muay Thai, in the category -54kg; and Anta Sánchez from Team Cabello and Cinthya Patiño from Baan KaiMuay in the -56kg category.

In addition, two belts of the evening will be contested, in which the faces Ismael Bradezzmane of the Lim King of Ronda and Pablo Colado of the Tahih Dragon (-54 kg) will be seen; and Abraham Reposo from the Golden Boy club of Estepona and current Andalusian Champion -60kg against Samuel Olías from Camp Muay (60 kg).

Dario Gil explained that as in the last editions of this evening, a special plan has been created to protect the health of the attendees and participants against the contagion of Covid-19, which has been adjusted to the alert level in the one that is Estepona.

Thus, the show has a federative protocol approved by the Junta de Andalucía, with that of the Estepona City Council, and even with its own created by the club. Among some of the measures that will be taken is the use of a mask while the show is still being developed in the open air. For their part, the participants will remain in a delimited area without any contact with the public. In addition, at the entrance control, the temperature of the attendees will be taken, who must also provide their contact information.
