The mayor of Estepona, José María García Urbano, has presented the Municipal Parking Plan 2022-2027, with which the sustainable city model continues to be complemented with the expansion of the parking network at a cost of 1 euro per day for the user. . In this way, it is made easier for citizens and visitors to park the vehicle; At the same time, valuable social work is carried out, since these facilities are managed by a social entity that favors the inclusion of people with disabilities. This plan initially contemplates four new underground facilities throughout the urban core.
At the moment, the drafting of the project for what will be the first of these new facilities and the sixth car park of this network, which will be located in the vicinity of the Iglesia del Carmen, is being tendered. It will have capacity for about 330 vehicles, half in rotation and the rest owned by residents. The project will also contemplate the improvement of the external environment.
Three others will be added to this facility, which are in the preliminary phase, and which will be located in the area in front of the San Fernando football field, in Plaza ABC and in the surroundings of the José Ramón de la Morena sports complex.
