The city of Estepona will host next Friday, June 10, the ‘VII conference of historical heritage’, an activity in which a tribute will be paid to the figure of Manuel Sánchez Bracho from Estepona and that tIt will take place every Friday until next July 1as reported this Wednesday by the councilor of the branch, Daniel García.
The mayor explained that the honoree in this edition stood out during his life as popular culture researcher, flamencologist, composerwriter, lecturer and member of the Spanish Society of Paleontology.
The first of the conferences, which will be held this Friday at 8:00 p.m., at the Exhibition and Conference Center, will be dedicated to Sánchez Bracho and his contribution to knowledge and dissemination of Estepona’s historical heritage, where the municipal archaeologist, Ildefonso Navarroand the former mayor of the city, Rosa Díaz.
The ‘VII Conference on Historical Heritage’ will continue on Friday June 17 with the presentation of a space dedicated to Sierra Bermeja in the Paleontological Museum. The event will be conducted by Javier Martos, member of the Sierra Bermeja Platform National Park. This space will offer a didactic approach to Sierra Bermeja, incorporating the latest scientific research on this important natural enclave.
The third of the activities will take place on Friday, June 24, at the Archaeological Museum. It will be the conference ‘Paleolithic Archeology in Estepona’who will deliver the archaeologist José María Tomassetti Guerra.
Finally, on July 1, the act ‘Flemish Literature and Art. In memory of Manuel Sánchez Bracho’. On this last day, the prestigious jurist and flamencologist Aurelio Gorrea will offer a conference on the literary world and flamenco culture, which will be complemented with performances of the flamenco opera ‘Xeb Alhamar’, composed by Sánchez Bracho.
