Marbella Town Hall has asphalted in the last months of the 95% of the Arroyo de las Piedras de Nagüeles urbanizationwith performances that have had an impact on improving traffic and road safety of the area, as announced on Tuesday by the Councilor for Works, Diego López.

Specifically, the mayor explained that “now we are acting in more than 12,000 square meters of Cornalina, Estena and Calomena streets, three vials that will be ready at the end of the week after the performances start this Monday”.

As he has indicated, “the works are framed within a city plan with which we want to respond to the areas that are in worse condition”, the mayor has pointed out.

At the same time, “we are renovating the pavement of Calle Califa in Nueva Andalucía, of 2,000 square meters of surface, which extends from the bullring to the Mercadona area”, pointed out López, who has specified that “we are also undertaking performances in the avenue of the Beach and in the area of ​​the church of Las Chapas”.

“Are work to be done as quickly as possible and what specifically they represent an investment of 400,000 euros”has detailed the councilman, who has advanced that “we are already immersed in a new plan to be executed at the end of the year and that we are agreeing with the different districts and neighbors of the municipality to meet their demands in this regard according to their priorities”.

For her part, the councilor for the West district of Marbella, Remedios Bocanegra, highlighted the substantial traffic improvement and road safety with these actions and has indicated that “we will continue, hand in hand with the neighbors, promoting the necessary actions to continue conserving our area”. The works directly benefit 2,000 residents of the urbanization and they will be completed with the horizontal signaling of the roads to increase safety.
