The City Council of Marbella has expanded the clean point service mobile with the installation of new locations, going from 15 to 21, for which it has allocated a investment of 30,000 euros for the acquisition of two new trucks with recycling bins, as highlighted on Tuesday by the Councilor for Cleaning, Diego López.
This was highlighted by the mayor in the presentation of the new vats, a recycling system that he recalled serves to “deposit oils, clothing, batteries, small appliances, x-rays, medications, or paint in order to prevent them from ending up in organic waste containers”.
As reported by the councilman, the new mobile clean points will be will be located in the Doña Francisca Carillo streets (Xarblanca); Jacinto Benavente and Jeddah, in the Los Naranjos urbanization and on España and Arias de Velasco avenues.
“We went from 15 clean points to 21 that are going to be distributed in different parts of the city and where through social networks”, remarked the councilor, who pointed out that these units “are very necessary because the neighbors had been asking us for a long time for the service”.
On the same, he has indicated that it presents novelties and the delegation has acquired “two new trucks with three recycling bins”, which are “fully accessible and have a significant number of containers inside”, while the previous ones were “vehicles for the collection of furniture that were readapted”.
López recalled that last year they were recycled through these mobile clean points “8,200 liters of vegetable oilabout 300 of motor oil, 3,000 kilos of small appliances and 4,700 liters of aerosols, 105 kilos of batteries, 60 battery units and 600 kilos of paint.
