The City Council of marbella has started this Monday its promotional campaign in the World Travel Market (WTM)which will be held in London from November 7 to 9, focusing on strengthening the town as a reference destination in the British market and in the search for digital nomads, as announced by the mayor, Ángeles Muñoz.
The councilor stressed that on the opening day that the British “it’s a essential tourist for the town, because it is the one that contributes the most and the one that has shown the most fidelity over the years”.
For this reason, he stressed that “it is very necessary that we be present at one of the most important fairs in the sector to continue highlighting the excellence of the municipality, which combines an exceptional climate that favors telecommutinggood connectivity and a complementary quality offer in areas such as gastronomy or the Golf”.
In this sense, the mayor of Marbella recalled that “the data for this year has been very good and reflects that the visitors from the UK They are still in the majority.”
The councilor has indicated that the municipal delegation has maintained a meeting with Fox Communication agency with which, as he recalled, “we signed a collaboration agreement the last edition that has given very remarkable results, because it has a global audience of 58 million people”.
Within the framework of the fair, the Marbella Town Hall has also held work meetings with large platforms such as booking either Expedia to advance in this area.
Likewise, the mayor has reiterated that the strategy with which Marbella lands in the WTM has as its main axes the energy tourismthe Solheim Cup and digital nomads.
“Our goal is to lengthen the stays of visitors and increase average spending”, stated Muñoz, who has shown that “we have traveled to the British capital with very good figures in terms of tourism and the presence at the fair will contribute to reinforcing this trend”.
