The City Council of Marbella has presented to the taxi sector the new organization chart that will work in the Local Police Headquarters in terms of traffic and transport to reinforce the protection of this public service in the city, which will have an inspector and a sub-inspector, as announced this Tuesday by the Security Councilor, José Eduardo Díaz.
This has been highlighted by the municipal official in a meeting he has held with José María Romero, President of Taxisol, the majority association of the city; where he pointed out that this group “is a priority for us and we have reflected it in every way, both with a new structure and with very direct contact with them.”
The mayor has stressed that “between the Local Police and taxi drivers we maintain a very close collaboration, since they are our eyes on the street “and he explained that” we have taken advantage of internal promotion to carry out a redistribution of functions and the taxi segment will be framed within a large area such as Traffic and Transport ” .
Specifically, the Security Councilor has specified that the new police structure will be directed by an inspector and that within it “there will be a sub-inspector, who will be in charge of being in direct contact with our taxi drivers.”
It has also indicated that this area will be divided into three departments such as those of the Judicial Police, Road Safety Control, with operations such as surveillance at the entrance and exit of educational centers, among others, and the Traffic itself, “which we have increased and has gone from having 18 police officers to about thirty agents ”.
Díaz stressed that “it is a new structure, but it will give a lot relevance and drive to support our sector of the taxi ”and added that“ there will also be permanent recycling courses in these matters at the Municipal School of Security ”.
On the other hand, in the meeting they have exchanged impressions on the evolution of the sector, the needs it has and the operation of the controls carried out this year.
