The councilor has highlighted the “success of influx” after attending yesterday together with the Councilor for Fiestas, Tamara Vera, at the traditional lighting lighting, with which the starting gun was given to some festivities that will last until July 2.
To guarantee the well-being of the thousands of people who are expected at the fairgrounds, González has indicated that about twenty agents will reinforce the Police device Local in the afternoon/night during the five days of festivities, thus reaching the figure of almost a hundred troops in the streets of Mijas. In addition, some 40 Civil Protection volunteers, health personnel (ambulance) and a fire station will watch over neighbors and visitors during these festivities.

This Thursday it will be the turn of the elders of the town with the traditional tribute dinner offered by the delegation of the Third Age at the María Zambrano School to more than 1,200 retirees and pensioners from Las Lagunas, and in which the Grandfather and Grandmother of the Fair will be chosen. Tomorrow, Friday, one of the most special days for the little ones will be lived with the election of the children’s King and Queen and baby and animation, children’s games and a performance by the magician Richard Granda in the Municipal Booth starting at 8:00 p.m.
Music for all tastes
On Friday, June 30, the free concert schedule in the municipal booth with Los Toreros Muertos (22 hours) and Social Security (23:30 hours). On Saturday, July 1, it will be the turn of urban music with local artists Jairo Merino and Pablodeoro & Dj Bubba (9:00 p.m.) and the young pop promise Anadie (10:00 p.m.).
