One of the most important points discussed at the Town Planning Management Council last Friday referred to the Action Project for the El Molino farm, SUNS-10 sector in Martagina.

It is a large plot on which the construction of a hotel is projected, whose surface has 41,557.99 m², plus an interpretation center or museum room, which consists of 17,390 m², and in which related courses can be held with the Los Castillejos de Alcorrín archaeological site, with 357,506 m², and the Martagina site, with 21,937 m², both from the Bronze Age.

The generation of public roads is also contemplated, with an area of 10,204 m².

According to the Town Planning delegate, Marcos Ruiz, after different meetings and negotiations, the Procedure for starting the Environmental Assessment of the Special Plan of Public Interest has been brought to the council, whereby, after the approval of the town planning proposal and its submission to the Junta de Andalucía for its study, the owner will be able to build these thematic installations, outside of archaeological protection, and the Manilva town hall obtains ownership of the land of this important site at the time that the Junta approves the special plan.

This project will have the involvement of the city council itself, in addition to the UMA and the German Archaeological Institute, for its enhancement and courses, and as it is an Asset of Regional Interest, it is the Junta de Andalucía that will study it and will investigate to preserve it and make it visitable.
