The marinas in Spain of D-Marin Marinas, La Duquesa de Manilva and Estepona display their Blue Flags for 26 consecutive years, which recognize the quality, service and environmental policy of marinas, As reported on Wednesday by the organization.

This award honors the quality of facilities and services offered by the marinas, in addition to complying with a series of environmental and sustainable management conditions that is also endorsed by the ISO 9001 Standard, which certifies the environmental quality of the port.

To the act of hoisting the Blue Flag in the duchess port Manuel Raigón, managing director of Marina Duquesa; Rafael Aznar, general director of D-Marin Spain; Konrad Tyrajski, Director of Operations for D-Marin; Diego Hens, head of the Málaga-Poniente zone of the APPA, as well as personnel from the marina.

By the City Hall of Manilva the mayor, José Manuel Fernández; Dean Tyler, Councilor for Tourism and Mediterranean Marinas; Gema Zotano, Councilor for Beaches; Juan Carlos Morejón, Councilor for Personnel and Finance and Rogelio Pascual, Councilor for Sports and Cleaning.

The mayor of Manilva has congratulated all the team of Puerto de la Duquesa for the award obtained and added that “from the City Council we will continue to develop collaborative and promotional actions so that the marina continues to be in the place it deserves”.

On the other hand, at the hoisting of the Estepona marina attended by José Carlos Martín, president of the board of directors of Marina Estepona and Duquesa; Manuel Raigón, managing director of Marina Estepona; Rafael Aznar, general director of D-Marin Spain; Konrad Tyrajski, Director of Operations for D-Marin; Alejandro Rodríguez, head of Maritime Rescue, as well as the marina staff, clients and users.

Manuel Raigón, managing director of Marina Estepona and Duquesa, has highlighted the daily work carried out by all the personnel of both ports, especially the Operations departments, who work for and to fulfill all the necessary requirements to achieve this distinction year after year. “An effort to offer excellence in customer service and first-class facilities and services, results in obtaining recognition like this for another year,” he declared.

Rafael Aznar, general manager of D-Marin Spain, stated that “we are going to continue supporting the growth of these marinas and working strategically so that both Manilva and Estepona continue to be benchmark nautical centers. We acquire the commitment to carry out new policies and investment”.
