Estepona hosts this Thursday, September 1, the arrival of the twelfth stage of the 77th edition of the Vuelta Ciclista a España and, like every year, the National Police deploys a device security for the sporting event.
For its part, On Friday, September 2, Ronda hosts the departure of the thirteenth stage of La Vuelta, as indicated by the National Police in a statement.
The Headquarters of Police Intervention Units will establish a safety device at each stage assuming the protection of the facilities established by the organization of La Vuelta Ciclista a España: signature control, delivery of accreditations, equipment parking, podium or doping control. In addition, a security perimeter in the first hundred meters of the race and the last kilometer before reaching the finish line.
On the other hand, they have specified that as in all the stages of La Vuelta, the organization will establish an area in which goal destined to the merchandising of the different sponsors. There will be a National Police stand where material from various police units will be exhibited and the agents will attend to visitors.
The National Police stand will be located on Thursday at the avenue of Spain in Estepona -specifically in the section that goes from the European Union roundabout to Carmen Avenue- from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
It is planned the Dog Guide assistance with two dogsa van from the UIP, two motorcycles from the UPR, the Scientific Police, in addition to several police officers from the Central Unit for Citizen Participation and the Citizen Participation delegation from the Estepona Police Station, among other means and personnel.
The Vuelta Ciclista a España began on August 19 in Utrecht (The Netherlands) and will end on September 11 in Madrid. This Friday, September 2 Ronda will host the start of the thirteenth stage of La Vuelta with arrival in Montilla (Córdoba).
