
The works of the new Benahavís deposit are finished, with which Aguas de Benahavís extends the guarantee of service to the population. The new tank has more than doubled the drinking water storage capacity and has meant an investment of more than one million euros.
Aguas de Benahavís and the Town Hall of the town have held an institutional act to announce the completion of the works of the Pueblo deposit that extends the guarantee of supply to the population of the entire urban area of the town, improving the quality of life around 2,600 neighbors. The performance has meant a municipal investment of more than one million euros (€ 1,060,961.14).
This new reservoir more than doubles the drinking water storage capacity for this area of the city, going from 550 m3 to 1,500 m3. In this way, Aguas de Benahavís extends the guarantee of supply to the entire urban area in times of maximum demand, covering both the current and future needs of the inhabitants of the urban nucleus of the city.
The presentation ceremony was attended by both the manager of Aguas de Benahavís, Fulgencio Díaz, and the mayor of the municipality, José Antonio Mena. Díaz highlighted the success of public-private collaboration in actions of this type to improve the lives of citizens: “With this type of investment it is shown that public-private collaboration is a necessary lever to promote the development of the municipality.”
In order to extend the guarantee of supply, the new tank also has two independent vessels, which will make it possible to carry out maintenance and cleaning tasks. without the need to reduce or limit the supply of water to the population.
