The mayor, Ángeles Muñoz, visited the 2021 Rhythmic Gymnastics Grand Prix this Sunday, which is being held this weekend at the Elena Benítez Sports Palace in San Pedro Alcántara and which brings together 130 elite athletes from 15 countries , including the current Olympic champion Bulgarian team.
The event has been held in the municipality since 2007 and, by virtue of a sponsorship agreement, it will continue to take place in the city until 2024. The councilor stressed that this event “reflects the sporting level that we want to associate with the Marbella brand” and has emphasized the success of the tourism and sport binomial.
“This weekend there is a very important hotel occupancy and a projection in the media associated with this international competition,” he said.
