The Junta de Andalucía has decided to maintain the measures in force in the autonomous community in matters of Public Health at the proposal of the Regional Committee for High Impact on Public Health, once the epidemiological situation and the healthcare pressure of the autonomous community have been analyzed at the meeting held yesterday .
The Committee of Experts has highlighted that “the trend of the pandemic begins to be descending in the last days though Andalusia still remains at a medium risk level”, As highlighted at the end of the meeting by the Minister of Health and Families, Jesús Aguirre. Other parameters have also been analyzed, such as vaccination coverage, which is already located above 73% or the beginning of the drop in healthcare pressure.
With these data, it has been agreed extend existing measures in the community with the exception of expansion from 4 to 6 diners at the tables located inside of the catering establishments and celebration rooms in the alert levels 1 and 2.
Likewise, the Committee has also agreed increase measures surveillance and control in nursing homes for the elderly and in health and social health centers “due to the increased sprouts registered in the last weeks that, although they have not had the virulence of previous waves, leads us to propose a reinforcement of these spaces to preserve the safety of workers and residents and as a preventive measure ”, Aguirre pointed out.
In this way, diagnostic tests will be performed (PDIA) to all workers of these spaces: each two weeks in the case of vaccinatedsy twice a week for those who do not have any doses. There will also be tests diagnostic tests (PDIA) with 72 hours in advance in cases of re-entry to the centers of a resident even if he is vaccinated. In the case of chealth centers, PDIA will be carried out in a weekly to unvaccinated personnel and to maintain contact with patients.
Finally, it has been agreed that follow-up by PDIA to all person considered close contact of a positive case, whether you are a worker or a resident and regardless of whether you are vaccinated or not. These tests will be carried out on the same day of the declaration of the case and will be repeated at 4 and 8 days. The Board recommends not making a visit to the center or canceling the user’s exit if it has been declared as close contact.
