«In just fifteen days we are going to inaugurate the dissuasive parking that has been done in Los Palacios and which is at the foot of the motorway. There are 386 places for cars and motorcycles, including vehicles for people with reduced mobility”, explained the mayor of Torremolinos, Margarita del Cid, during the visit to the area that she carried out together with the deputy mayor and councilor for urban planning and infrastructure, David Obadía, and the councilor responsible for the downtown area, Francisco García Macías.
Del Cid has valued that «it is one step away from the center which allows you to walk to do any procedure, any visit to the center of Torremolinos. A model that we must bet on for a friendlier city, in which, in addition, completely free, neighbors and those who visit us can easily park.
The mayor explained that the area “will have lighting, obviously, and it will be a new car park that is added to the existing ones in the town so that many more people can visit us and so that the neighbors have more capacity to park in an area where there is a high population density.
For the start-up of this new car park, an investment of around 450,000 euros has been made. In this sense, Del Cid has indicated “I want to thank again the Diputación de Málaga and its president, Francisco Salado, for betting that the mayors and mayors can carry out much-needed works with those transfers that are being made to the municipalities to undertake actions as important as this.”
