A 40-year-old man has deceased this friday in a work accident registered in a construction site in Marbella, as reported by Emergencies 112 Andalusia, a service attached to the Ministry of the Presidency, Public Administration and Interior of the Board.
The event occurred at 9:50when the 061 Health Emergency Center has informed 112 of a judicial death on Avenida Diego Velázquez in the municipality of Marbella and has requested the presence of the Local Police and the National Police, who have taken charge of the investigation of the incident, and has reported the accident to the Labor Inspectorate.
Although the toilets have indicated that the deceased has fallen from a height and has hit himself with a concrete mixer pump, the brother of the fatal victim has denied this information and assures that it was the arm of a concrete truck -which, he points out, can weigh a ton- the one that fell on him and killed him on the spot.
“They have put the vehicle in a place that they should not have, the ground has given way and when they have unfolded the arm, the truck has fallen and the extendable part has crushed my brother,” he says. The family member points out that the responsibility lies “both with the person who has put the machine there and with the person in charge of the work”, so will file a complaint.
And it is that the relative of the victim, who is also dedicated to the construction sector, states that “companies do not look at anything for their workers.” “There is very little security on the construction site. and, when the inspections are going to go, they give them the tip so that they don’t get caught unawares,” he criticizes.
