The public water company Acosol, dependent on the Commonwealth of Municipalities of the Western Costa del Sol, has launched the environmental quality certification seal for golf courses, and that its objective is to distinguish spaces that have ideal characteristics for animal and plant welfare in the region, as reported by the company this Friday.
As they have stated, the main objective set by the public supply and environmental management company is to distinguish those fields that have ideal characteristics for animal and plant welfareas well as the distribution that respects life cycles, that facilitate or have spaces enabled for certain types of species, that their maintenance and exploitation activities are adequate to reconcile environmental and human well-being or those that have a wide diversity.
As highlighted by the public water company, “around 38 fields have been interested in this stamp, which is currently in the final phase of awarding the certificates”.
Among the benefits of its implementation, they have highlighted “the Helps comply with environmental laws and regulations or the appearance of insectivorous bird species, which will significantly reduce the amount of pesticides needed, or even their disappearance” because “they will regulate possible pests.
Likewise, among the advantages they have alluded to “the optimization in soil maintenancebecause the proliferation of vegetation will make it more established and will make it more resistant to possible climatic alterations”, they have stressed.
Finally, from the public water company Acosol, dependent on the Commonwealth of Municipalities of the Western Costa del Sol, they have recalled that it has already launched the seal of 100 per 100 reclaimed water, that in its first call it was Finca Cortesín that managed to win the award and that, in addition, it will be the place where the Solheim cup will take place.
