Entrepreneurs from the Mijas golf sector have joined forces to create the Mijas Golf Courses Associationborn with the aim of outline common work strategies for the different sports facilities that the municipality has and promote it as a destination for sports, as announced this Tuesday by the mayor of Tourism of Mijas, José Carlos Martín.
This was stated by the councilor in the presentation of the group within the framework of the fair ‘International Golf Travel Market’ (IGTM) in Rome, where he has his own stand for the promotion of the tourist destination framed in this segment, where he has been accompanied by the Councilor for Sports, Andrés Ruiz, and a representative of the El Chaparral golf course.
The councilor pointed out that although last year “the owners of the golf courses and the City Council created in consensus the brand ‘Mijas, sun and golf ‘, this year businessmen have come together to associate and jointly promote their businesses. This is great news given that this synergy makes us look stronger as a destination and attract more visitors.”
