The National Geographic Institute (IGN) has registered this Tuesday an earthquake of magnitude 4.4 on the Richter scale with an epicenter in Alborán Sur, and that has been felt in the province of Malaga.

According to IGN data, consulted by Europa Press, the earthquake occurred at 5:39 p.m. in Alborán Sur, eleven kilometers deep, and has been noted in several municipalities on the Malaga coast with intensity 2 and 3.

Specifically, in Malaga capital, Fuengirola, Torremolinos, Vélez-Málaga, Rincón de la Victoria, Torrox and Nerja; as well as in the autonomous city of Melilla.

In fact, the 112 Andalucía Emergency service has received two calls from individuals who have felt the earthquake from the capital. However, the coordinating center has warned that no personal or material damage has been reported.
