The municipalities of Casares, Benahavís and Manilva, both with 6,500, 7,700 and 16,400 inhabitants respectively, are the three towns on the Costa del Sol with the least number of deaths due to Covid-19, within those municipalities with more than 5,000 inhabitants.
The Junta de Andalucía has been taking into account when applying restrictions, those municipalities with more than 5,000 inhabitants to have a reliable sample of the contagion rates at 14 days and on the Costa del Sol only Ojén are outside this count and Istán.
Specifically, Casares has registered a total of 12 deaths from coronavirus so far in the pandemic, Manilva has regretted 22 deaths from the same cause and Benahavís has counted three deaths from Covid-19 to date.
