Avenida del Mar will celebrate from October 8 to 10 the ‘Beer Fest Marbella’, an event that aims to support the productive fabric of the city. The event, which was presented today by the Councilor for Commerce, Félix Romero; the head of the company Import Montes, Pepi Montes, and the representative of Heineken in Andalusia, Christian Martínez, will have various activities, including the possibility that attendees can pour your own beer, plus a area for children. Between 4 and 6 thousand liters of beer will come together in this great event that is successful in other countries such as Germany and with free admission.
Romero has pointed out that this appointment, framed within the line followed by the Plan for Dynamization of Commerce, “will bring animation to our center and will serve to encourage visits to this area in a stage that has less activity and in which it is important the support of the residents ”. “It is a festival around beer, in a month in which these types of celebrations are typical, especially in Germany, and for this we have also sought the collaboration of local companies in the municipality, such as Import Montes ”, he stated.
For his part, Montes has highlighted the cooperation that his company maintains, with more than 30 years distributing drinks in Marbella, with the City Council to stimulate local activity and support the tourist fabric of the municipality. “We have collaborated together for a long time and after the stoppage to which the pandemic has forced us, we resumed actions to support hospitality and commerce businesses in our city”, Has detailed the head of the firm, who has highlighted the beer culture that exists in the town.
For his part, Martínez has specified that the event will feature two beer bars, one with typical Irish drinks and the other of German origin. There will also be a stand with food from these countries and an area aimed at children. Finally, he has encouraged the residents of the municipality and its surroundings to participate in this event, which will have all the hygienic and sanitary measures against Covid-19: «We will have something very special and that is that I would like to launch a challenge: that you enjoy to throw away your pint of Guinness ».
