Agents of the National Police have arrested a 29-year-old man of British nationality on August 30, in Marbella (Malaga) when an International Detention Order -OID- is in force for a crime of drug trafficking. The accused was part of a criminal group that imported narcotic substances to several countries, including Spain and Ecuador, using fraudulent transport companies. The merchandise was hidden between the load of the trucks that transported fruit to other countries, being distributed in the destination. The detainee was placed at the disposal of the Central Court of Instruction FIVE of the National High Court.
The fugitive was arrested by the agents of the Group III of Narcotics and International Relations of the UDyCO on the occasion of an OID ordered by the authorities of the United Kingdom in relation to a drug trafficking offense. Thus, last Monday he was identified in the parking lots of a shopping center in the Marbella town.
The 29-year-old LL.C had the arrest and surrender in force since May of this year, for some acts committed between January and September 2020. The sentence imposed, in final judgment for the crime of drug trafficking in the country claimant corresponds to life imprisonment.
The detainee was placed at the disposal of the Central Court of Instruction number FIVE of the National Court.
