The New Andalusian Cinema Festival closes next Monday the deadline for fiction feature films and documentaries in competition. It celebrates its eighth edition from October 4 to 9 and vReturns with face-to-face format, although taking into account current health regulations.
Until September 6, the deadline is open to submit documentaries and fiction feature films to the competition. Productions that are Andalusian may participate in at least 60%, which are directed by an Andalusian person or have been filmed mostly in Andalusian lands, and which are made or released in 2020 or 2021.
For the Express Short Film Contest, the registration period ends on Friday, September 30 at 11:59 p.m. The participating teams will be able to shoot their short films, in 48 hours, from September 15 to 30.
The selected films will be screened during the Festival, they will have a fixed economic allowance of € 300 except the one that the jury chooses as the best film that will receive the Silver Bird in that category and a prize of € 1,000. The jury will also deliver the Pajarraco de Plata for the best director, and the public the Pajarraco de Plata for the best film. The rest of the prizes, except the jury prize for the best film, do not carry an economic allocation. The economic award is sponsored by Finca Cortesín.
