
Casares continues to advance as a cardioprotected municipality with simulation of resuscitation and informative actions aimed at citizens. This morning they took place in the Casares Costa junction area, at the Bahía de Casares Restaurant, and in the afternoon at the Paseo Marítimo. Tomorrow it will be the turn of Casares people, in the Paseo de la Carrera at 11.30 am and at 5.30 pm in the Plaza de España.
These drills are a new action by the Casares City Council to inform and raise awareness among the population of the importance of making good use of defibrillators to save lives, and to publicize the 14 cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) points installed in various public use areas of Casares, Secadero and Costa.
‘Casares, cardioprotected municipality’ is a municipal campaign aimed at promote cardiopulmonary resuscitation through early defibrillation and decrease sudden death. Since then, training courses have also been held in Cardiovascular Resuscitation and the use of defibrillators, to which they have accessed more than 60 people, between merchants, hoteliers, taxi drivers, educational and municipal personnel from the areas closest to the cardioprotected points, and neighbors in general.
