The ‘Casares se luce’ beautification program for the historic center has begun with Camachas street, which has been decorated with images of the town taken by local photographers María Linares and Ivana Marín.
The panels, in which emblematic corners and panoramic photos of Casares can be seen, have been placed at the descent of this street, covering the light boxes.
The beautification plan will continue until the end of the year and will focus on two of the main arteries of the town. On the one hand, work will be done on the entrance to the historic center from the doctor’s office to Carrera Street, where the furniture will be changed and floral ornamentation will be placed, and on the other, Fuente Street will also be embellished from the exit from the car park to the Plaza de España.
From the new delegation for the conservation of the historic center, the councillor, Chelu Herrera, explained that what is intended with this plan is to enhance the image of the Andalusian people. “We are going to make Casares more popular and even more photographable, so that the streets emanate the essence of Andalusia”, he commented.
