Yesterday Casares celebrated ‘The night of the bats 2022’, an initiative focused on introduction talks of this species of mammals and a night workshop.
The attendees, children and adults, had a great time and learned about the wide variety of species that exist, the role they play in the ecosystem and the risks that are threatening their conservation and survival.
Organized by the Biological Station of Doñana and Caxara, the attending public, equipped with radiofrequency devices, toured the streets of the historic center where they could see a multitude of specimens. In Casares there are 13 species of bats and it is a privileged place to spot them.
