The terrible forest fire that has ravaged the Sierra Bermeja for five days has awakened a wave of solidarity between companies in Estepona and its surroundings.
Since the fire started last Wednesday night they have not stopped arriving at the Estepona Congress Center – where the advanced command post is located – vans and private cars loaded with water, sandwiches, fruit … for the firefighting operation that is leaving the skin to end the flames.
This morning companies such as Achedosol Estepona or Rafalux Manilveña have approached the command post. Both have contributed by donating food and water. It is the kindest image that this voracious fire leaves us that so far has claimed more than 7,000 hectares of the Sierra Bermeja.
