The pandemic is being left behind, and the end of the restrictions has stimulated employment on the Costa del Sol, where job hiring has increased in the last month. The unemployment data for September barely leave new unemployed and they do confirm that employment has recovered notably compared to the same month last year, in full pandemic. With respect to August, unemployment has grown in September, although very slightly, with 945 more unemployed throughout the coast, and 2,873 in the province as a whole:
Compared to the same month last year, the differences are more notable: there are more than six thousand fewer unemployed on the coast, and almost 40,000 in the province as a whole from Malaga:
The services sector continues to be the great engine of job creation and accounts for the majority of contracts. The hiring in September rose compared to last year, and they have also increased compared to August.
