The Manilva City Council is carrying out the appropriate steps with insistence and perseverance to eradicate incidents in the municipality in terms of electricity supply.

For this reason, as reported by the Councilor for Infrastructure and Works, Diego José Jiménez, the company responsible for offering this service in our municipality, Endesa, will invest more than 400,000 euros in strengthening the Manilva electricity network.

These works will be carried out in the coming months and will benefit thousands of people, since they cover the core of Sabinillas.

Within this investment plan, one of the main actions will be the adaptation of the distribution networks. To do this, more than 700 meters of medium voltage overhead lines will be removed, which will be replaced by 1.3 kilometers of underground lines.

This burying of the network, which will allow a landscape improvement in the area, will involve an investment of close to 300,000 euros and will notably result in the quality of the municipal supply.

Likewise, specialized technicians from Endesa have carried out a replacement of the medium voltage wiring that runs through the area of the fairgrounds for 250 meters.

This investment also contemplates the reform of four transformation centers that will be equipped with the latest technology thanks to the installation of remote controls and sensors, this will reduce the time of action in the event of any incident and will allow the digitalization of distribution networks to be promoted.

These works are included in the Investment Plan, approved by the Junta de Andalucía, aimed at measures for the renovation, automation, expansion and improvement of the electricity distribution networks of Malaga. In order to strengthen the service, increase its quality and favor the progressive integration of renewable energies into distribution networks.
