From today (October 4) aid can be requested for the painting of facades of the historic center, subsidies of up to 600 euros per home with which the City Council intends to continue valuing the image of Casares as a white Andalusian town.
Any person who has a home in the historic center, whether owner, tenant or has the transfer of use of it, can apply for these grants.
Requests can be made at the Town Hall entry register or through the electronic office www.casares.es. The period will be open until November 30 or until the designated amount is exhausted.
‘Encala tu fachá’ is the name of this campaign, thanks to which a total of 81 façades have already been painted, thus enhancing the image of the Casares Historic-Artistic Site.
“We have to make the town even whiter and that depends on all of us, so I encourage all the neighbors to apply for this aid, so that Casares continues to be known as the most beautiful white town in Andalusia” , commented the Councilor for Conservation of the Historic District, Chelu Herrera.
On the other hand, the mayor has recalled that people who already have the awarded subsidy have until the end of this year to paint their facade and present the receipt to the City Council, which will proceed to pay the allocated amount.
This year, as a novelty, the council is going to distribute informative brochures to the neighbors about this campaign, which also includes the data of all the local painting companies (Paintings Morales SL, Decóralo, Pinturas Rondón and Pinturas Ramón Vicario) in order to to also contribute to boosting its activity.
