The Estepona Town Hall has completed the construction work on a new roundabout in Huerta Nueva, specifically at the intersection between Carlos Cano avenue and Manuel Navarro Mollor street, and will serve to provide the area with greater fluidity in trafficas reported on Monday by the deputy mayor of the Development, Infrastructure and Tourism (FIT) area, Ana Velasco.
The mayor has explained that the execution of this roundabout, which is dedicated to the Virgen de los Remedios Musical Group, It will allow, in addition to better circulation, changes of direction.
This new infrastructure will facilitate the displacements in one of the sectors with the greatest expansion and growth of the municipality, in addition to being one of the busiest because it is very close to the urban center and has several educational centers, a health center, sports facilities, restaurants and bars.
The works in this enclave, which have meant a investment of more than 39,000 euros, have also included the adaptation of the perimeter sidewalkfavoring the passage of pedestrians and allowing greater accessibility for people with reduced mobility.
This action will also facilitate the access to the future parking that will be built by the City Council next to the church of El Carmen. It will be the sixth of these characteristics that will form part of the municipal parking network for 1 euro per day, deployed in the parts of the city where a greater concentration of vehicles is detected. Specifically, the new car park will have a capacity for 380 spaces.
