The Thyssem Gardens and the Estepona Orchid Garden were an idyllic place for the celebration of the VI Estepona Fashion Week and specifically this Saturday the 24th of the EDM22 Young Designers contest, which was presented by Esther Arroyo, together with Miguel Toledo.

This year a total of 13 local establishments have participated, presenting their new fashion, beauty and accessories proposals for the Autumn-Winter 2021/22 season on September 21, 22 and 23.

On Saturday the 24th it was the turn of EDM22, a contest for young designers where the 8 finalists parade to win a prize of €1,000 that will bring them a little closer to their dream.

Yesterday, with nerves and great enthusiasm, Adolfo Pardo, Alberto Muñoz, Julia Gona, Marina Moreno, Ivan Martín (Profana), DAM.BM, Miguel Angel Ocon (MAOG) and Alberto Batres paraded, with very different proposals each and coming from all parts of the country, all Andalusian.

Finally, the jury made up of different professionals from the sector decided to award the First Prize to Alberto Batres for his risky and vindictive proposal “Maricón de España” that mixed Andalusian folklore, the feminization of men and traditions, in second place with a prize of 500 € went to Profana with its Granada traditionalism and perfect tailoring, and third place went to Malaga with designer Miguel Angel Ocón MAOG. In the best models, Khadija Maga and Juan Esteban Ararat stood out and were awarded.

The organization highlights the passion and gratitude to all entities, models, make-up artists, media and collaborators so that this event grows one more year to be a benchmark in Andalusian fashion; The fashion week is carried out thanks to the collaboration of the Estepona City Council and the organization of Miguel Toledo and Juanchy Garcia Estudio.
