The City Council of Estepona has given two municipal halls free of charge to the Spanish Association Against Cancer of Estepona (AECC), where they will install a Headquarters for patient care and their relatives, as announced this Friday by the mayor, José María García Urbano.
With the cession of this space it is possible that the association can provide service to the residents of Esteponwoe to your area of influence without having to travel to other municipalities.
García Urbano has highlighted the great work carried out by social groups in the municipality and has referred to the constant collaboration of the City Council of Estepona offers to promote and support this altruistic and supportive work.
In this case, he pointed out that the creation of an AECC headquarters in Estepona about the valuable attention and help that provided by the professionals that make up this institution.
The AECC is a non-profit charitable and welfare organization whose origin dates back to 1953, being declared of public utility in 1970.
For her part, the president of the Spanish Association Against Cancer in Estepona, Julia Crespo, explained that the service to be provided at the local headquarters It will depend on the needs that the users raise, although as essential benefits there will be the psychological help for patients and their families, and the recovery and physiotherapy service for patients. Also, later workshops and activities will be organized.
It has also announced that the association has as foresight to open the doors of its headquarters in Estepona as soon as possible, for which he has stated that work will start immediately to adapt these two rooms that the City Council has given.
