The Town Hall of Estepona installation work completed of the wooden bridge over the Enmedio streama work that has had an investment of 227,069 euros and that will allow the connection of the existing promenades in the urbanizations of Arroyo Vaquero and Costa Natura, as reported this Friday by the deputy mayor of the Development, Infrastructure and Tourism (FIT) area, Ana Velasco.

The municipal manager explained that the placement of this infrastructure, 32 meters long and 3 meters wideforms part of the works on the stretch of coastal corridor that is being executed in the area of ​​Arroyo Enmedio.

He has also indicated that the scope of action will be 221 square meters and that on each side of the new structure will be installed wooden walkways They will have railings on each side.

The performance will be complemented in the coming weeks with the installation of urban furniture, drinking fountains, litter bins and bollards. Once the work is complete, 20 of the 23 kilometers of the Estepona coastline will be united.

The works, which are being carried out by Urinci SL, they have a investment of 227,069 euros (VAT included) and are fully financed by the Commonwealth of Municipalities of the Western Costa del Sol. The supra-municipal entity launched joint investment plans this year to support its municipalities after the pandemic. In this way, it contributes to the revitalization of its social, economic and tourist environments.

These pooled investment plans are also enabling the execution of another stretch of coastal corridor in the city of Estepona in particular, the one that will unite Arena Beach with Guadalobón. The works, which have a completion period of three months, will be completed during the month of January. Once the works are completed, citizens will be able to walk uninterruptedly the two kilometers from Costa Natura to the Doncella Beach urbanization.

Regarding the project, it is going to create a path of 535 linear meters of albero-colored pavement and 3 meters wide that will allow the connection of some residential nuclei that until now had remained isolated. The jobs, which are budgeted at 702,830 euros (VAT included), are being carried out by the company Urinci SL

The municipal manager has valued the collaboration between administrations to make investments in Estepona and has pointed out that the coastal corridor has become one of the reference projects in the city, since it allows residents and tourists privileged public spaces by the sea.
