The City Council of Estepona has put out to tender the works for the construction of a new section of the coastal corridor that will connect Veramar and Bermeja Beach with El Cristo beach, being an action that has a budget of 403,199 euros and an execution period of 12 weeks, as reported this Thursday the deputy mayor of the Development, Infrastructure and Tourism (FIT) area, Ana Velasco.
The municipal official has indicated that the future path will have a length of 351 meters and a width of 3 meters. As for the paved path, printed concrete imitating natural stone and wooden flooring will be used on structures of the same material. The project will include creation of several landscaped areas in the environment of the section to be executed.
The works, which have a base budget for the tender of 403,199 euros (VAT included), are financed by the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan- funded by the European Union-Next Generation EU, allowing the new stretch travel uninterruptedly from the Guadalobón area to El Saladillo.

The municipal official has highlighted the importance of this infrastructure for the city as it represents a meeting point between the environment, sport, tourism and sustainable leisure.
Likewise, the coastal corridor affects the quality of life of citizens, that they can enjoy walks through almost 20 kilometers of natural spaces that, until now, had remained isolated and inaccessible to the citizen.
