The City Council of Estepona has recognized the philanthropic trajectory of Maria Bravo giving his name to a square, located between Goya and El Cid streets, near where the actress lived as a child.
Bravo is the founder of Global Gift Foundation, a non-profit foundation in favor of the most vulnerable, and that has Casa Ángeles, a day center for children with special needs that gives access to children and families from all over the Costa del Sol. The foundation also advocates for gender equality, education and professional development.
Thus, with this recognition they have wanted to value the solidarity facet of María Bravo and her link with the Costa del Sol and, specifically, with Estepona. The mayor, José María García Urbano, has shown his satisfaction and gratitude for the work of the actress together with the most vulnerable, extending this tribute to all the collaborators and volunteers of the foundation.
Maria Bravo was accompanied by neighbors, family, friends and by actors Gary Dourdan and Amaury Nolasco. She was very excited and grateful for the recognition. “I have grown up here; In these streets I have gone to school and I have been with my friends, and after spending 31 years in the United States I have found an Estepona even more beautiful than I remembered and that is thanks to the mayor ”, he assured.
Regarding his solidarity work, he has indicated that he does it “as an obligation because I can and because all of us who can help must”, He added, while appreciating the“ recognition of this project and the good work and good intentions of the people ”.
