The Town Hall of Estepona has reported that work has begun on the section of coastal corridor that will run through Veramar, Bermeja Beach and Playa del Cristo.
The new path, whose works are already 15 percent completed, will be connected to the west with the Doncella Beach urbanization and to the east with the Christ beachthe City Council has indicated in a statement.
The works, which are being carried out by the company Althenia, SLU and have a budget of €494,049 (VAT included), are financed through the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan-Funded by the European Union-Next Generation EU.
The work, which has a term of three month run, will create a 367 meter long path of stamped concrete. The paving works will be completed with a 12-meter wooden footbridge over the existing riverbed in this area. The project also contemplates the installation of street furniture, taps, litter bins and bollards.
