The mayor of Estepona, José María García Urbano, and the representative of the Nuevo Hogar Betania association, María del Carmen Martínez Marín, have signed a collaboration agreement through which the City Council gives this non-profit organization the use of a space which will be used to carry out training programs for vulnerable people, thus contributing to their socio-labour integration.

It is a municipally owned premises that has offices and a multipurpose room, and is located at Avenida Andalucía, 45, block II Conjunto La Portada.

The mayor has highlighted the great work carried out by social groups in the municipality and has referred to the constant collaboration that the Estepona City Council offers to promote and support this altruistic and supportive work.

Specifically, the mayor has declared that through this initiative the aim is to establish a collaboration framework between both entities for the development of the ‘Andalucía Orienta’ job orientation program and support for the insertion of unemployed people and other detection programs and awareness in other matters, making available to citizens and social services different resources available to the Nuevo Hogar Betania entity. It will offer care to citizens of Estepona and the Manilva and Casares region.

In this way, the Consistory continues to support groups that carry out social work in the locality so that they have greater facilities in the development of their activity and to contribute to improving the quality of life of the people they serve.

The municipal official highlighted the great work carried out by the Nuevo Hogar Betania team, a non-profit organization whose mission is to promote training, communication and social action, prioritizing equality between men and women, care for vulnerable people and the structuring of institutional, territorial and community alliances.
