The Felipe VI Auditorium in Estepona will host next Saturday, April 1, at 8:00 p.m., a lyrical gala starring the soprano Rocío Ignacio and the baritone Carlos Álvarez, accompanied by the conductor and pianist Carlos Aragón, whose proceeds will benefit UBUNTU and the Association of Families of Alzheimer’s Patients in the town, as reported by the City Council on Tuesday.
Tickets are priced at 20 euros plus management fees, and are on sale at www.tafestepona.com. They can also be purchased at the Felipe VI Auditorium box office from two hours before the start of the show until full capacity is reached.
The collection of the lyrical show will have a social characterand will go to the benefit of UBUNTU Estepona and the Association of Relatives of Alzheimer’s Patients of Estepona.
Carlos Alvarez is one of the baritones today’s most important opera houses, being a regular guest for 3 decades of all the great international opera houses such as Scala, the Vienna State Opera, the ROH Covent Garden, Bayerische Staatsoper, NY MET, the Gran Teatro del Liceo or the Teatro Real , among others. The pianist has worked under the baton of great masters such as R. Muti, R. Chailly, Z. Mehta, C. Abbado, J. Levine, L. Maazel, A. Pappano or G. Dudamel, among many others.
For his part, the soprano Rocio Ignacio is an artist with an extensive international career whose career has developed mainly in Italy and Spain, taking part in the most important theaters of these two nations such as Massimo in Palermo, Regio in Turin, Arena in Verona, Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Caracalla Opera in Rome, Comunale di Bologna, Reggio Emilia of Calabria, Carlo Felice of Genoa. Liceo, Real, ABAO, Palace of Arts in Valencia, Maestranza in Seville or La Zarzuela among many others. Likewise, she has participated in productions in France, Switzerland, USA, Oman or Dubai.
