The city of Estepona will host the ‘III Solidarity paddle tournament of the real estate sector of the Costa del Sol’, a sporting and solidarity event that will raise funds for build a pavilion in a school destroyed by the rains in Ugandaand which will take place on June 3, 4 and 5, As announced on Tuesday by the mayor, Jose Maria Garcia Urbano.

This has been advanced by the alderman in an appearance in which he has been accompanied by the president of the association building the future and CEO of the company NVOGA Marbella Realty, José Carlos León, the person in charge of Racquet Club Villa PadiernaSantiago Moreno and the secretary of the aforementioned association, María José Jiménez.

The mayor explained that the Consistory is collaborating with this solidarity event, which will raise funds for the extension and improvement of a school in Uganda which was affected by torrential rains, giving way to the facilities of the Felipe VI Auditorium and the Athletics Stadium.

For his part, José Carlos León wanted to thank Estepona City Council for its total predisposition and involvement with the entire organization, both the mayor and the deputy mayor of the Sociocultural area, Begoña Ortiz, and the entire team of the delegation of Sports with its councilman, José Antonio Bandera, at the head.

León also wanted to highlight the transfer of the Villa Padierna Racquet facilities Clubwhere all the sporting events will be held, as well as the support offered by the sponsors of the event.

The secretary of the Building The Future Association explained that she personally met in 2017 the existence of a school in Uganda totally destroyed by the rains torrential and thought of creating this initiative to help them. From then until now, the center has been rehabilitated and this year the purpose is build a new pavilion thanks to the celebration of these days.
