The mayor of Estepona and candidate for re-election for the PP, José María García Urbano, has managed to be the councilor of the most voted PP in Andalusia among municipalities with more than 50,000 inhabitants, also obtaining the best electoral result in the province of Malaga among large municipalities, and one of the best in Spain.
The popular leader has achieved the 60.79% of the voteswhich gives it the fourth consecutive absolute majority in the city.
Garcia Urbano has grateful for the broad support that the citizens have given back to the project that the PP has carried out in the city, and that has achieved the greatest transformation and modernization, placing the municipality as a benchmark for management and quality of life.
“It is a source of pride that the neighbors have once again trusted our project and have given us such majority support, which is a great reward for work and dedication for making Estepona a benchmark city and getting better every day”, added the councilor, who said he felt “very recognized” after the numerous expressions of affection and empathy from the citizens.
Thus, it has appreciated that citizens have continued to endorse “the major management effort carried out in the city during these 12 years”, with the equipment executed, with the economic and social revitalization that the city has experienced and with the projection that Estepona has achieved.
García Urbano has advanced that “great years await us for Estepona. Our proposals abound in the continuity of the city model which has made it possible to regain pride in Estepona, with a responsible management and institutional seriousness and with important projects such as becoming a university city”.
