The Global Gift Foundation has signed an agreement with the Multiple Sclerosis Association of Marbella New Dawn (Ampemna), which will allow its users to carry out therapies in the gym of Casa Ángelesas reported on Wednesday by the Councilor for Social Rights, Isabel Cintado.
During the signing of the agreement, the mayor highlighted the important work carried out by both entities and emphasized that “They will have first class facilities that are going to improve care programs for patients with multiple sclerosis and other neurodegenerative pathologies that Ampemna has been developing for 20 years”.
“This synergy reflects the strength of solidarity and the social fabric of our municipality”, pointed out the mayor, who accompanied the president of the foundation, María Bravo, and her counterpart from Ampemna, Úrsula Hervás, at the ceremony.
For its part, Bravo has celebrated that the gym “going to have a few new visitors daily” and recalled that this space, designed especially for cystic fibrosis patients, “it is the only room in Spain completely covered with copper to prevent the transmission of germs”. “We have put a great effort and it makes us very happy that it will have this new use,” he added.
On the other hand, Hervás thanked both the foundation and the City Council for their support, “without whose help it would be impossible to meet our objective of improve the quality of life of those affected and their families through comprehensive rehabilitation. You alluded to the fact that the entity, founded in 2003, offers adapted transport services, neuropsychology or social workas well as home and group physiotherapy.
Lastly, he pointed out that “the gym activities are very important to users and we will be able to cover them with these magnificent facilities provided by Casa Ángeles“, it is finished.
