A man has been arrested by the Mijas Local Police last weekend for intimidate with “a large knife” customers of various establishments located in Mijas, in the area surrounding the Hotel Costa del Sol. Apparently, the individual he was accompanied by his youngest son and two dogs potentially dangerous.
The agents were alerted by several passersby of the presence of a man who had threatened several clients who were in establishments in the area, according to police sources.
Local police officers appeared at the scene, both civilians and uniformed from the Intervention Group, who verified that the suspect was “under the influence of any narcotic substance” and “quite aggressive”.
In addition, the agents confirmed that the alleged perpetrator he had stabbed one of his dogs with the weapon he was carrying, for which he was identified and arrested. Thus, he was charged with crimes of threats and coercion, animal abuse and illegal possession of weapons.
Finally, the detainee was transferred to Civil Guard facilities for subsequent submission to court.
