Self-protection tips
Emergencies 112 Andalusia offers a series of recommendations to the population to avoid emergency situations during heat episodes. Thus, it is recommended to always be hydrated, especially in the case of minors, the elderly and the chronically ill. Avoid going out in the middle of the day, when the hottest hours are recorded, and wear an approved hat, cap and sunglasses, in addition to sun protection. Sports should also be avoided during these hours.
It is advisable to close the windows, curtains and blinds most exposed to the sun and use the fan or air conditioning whenever possible. If you do not have it, it is best to stay in the coolest rooms of the house, as well as take baths or refresh your skin with wet towels. And always remember that no one, including pets, can be left inside closed vehicles, not even for a moment.
In case of any emergency, Telephone 112 is available, a free and multilingual service, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
