The Alameda Park in Marbella will host a new edition of the Horizonte Association Charity Market with the aim of raising funds for the maintenance of its prevention and treatment programs for addictions, associated risk factors and emotional difficulties.
The Charity Rakes are one of the longest-running fundraising activities organized by the association in the municipality of Marbella. Thanks to the income obtained in the six rakes that it organizes throughout the year (almost always the first Sunday of the even-numbered months, that is, of the months of February, April, June, August, October and December), the association can continue to offer the possibility that users of different treatment programs can access their Treatment Support Housing (VAT).

Horizonte VAT is a residential resource aimed at people who have any type of addiction (substances and behavioral) and who are in a situation of disruption and / or lack of family support. It is also aimed at those people who, even having family support, require hospitalization because their addiction profile does not match the performance of outpatient treatment, either because they have failed (lack of maintenance of abstinence) in previous treatment attempts in an external regime or because they require a temporary separation from their environment to be able to carry out a rehabilitation process.

In the stalls you can find mainly clothing and footwear for women, men and children but also decorative items, bedding (bedspreads, pillows, sheets …); toys, etc. Most of the items for sale are brand new from donations from large companies and small local businesses.

The first of the two autumn rakes will take place on Sunday, October 3 at the Alameda Park in Marbella. The second will be on Sunday, December 5, in the middle of the bridge of the Constitution Day – Immaculate Conception Day.

The stalls, which will open around 10:00 in the morning and will remain open until the afternoon, are staffed by veteran volunteer staff and association workers who, year after year, help make this activity possible.
