The promotional brand of the Malaga Fashion Provincial Council sponsors the celebration of the IV edition of the Marbella Fashion Show, on September 10 and 11, which will take place in the Plaza José Luque Manzano, at the Hotel Amàre Beach in Marbella, and which will feature the participation of up to 18 designers of the stature of Rafael Urquízar, Victorio & Lucchino, Pepe Canela, Aurora Gaviño, Susana Hidalgo or the firm Marie Claire.
The first vice president and deputy of the Delegation of Sustainable Economic Development, Juan Carlos Maldonado, accompanied by María José González, manager of the organizing company; Nueva Moda, highlighted that the ‘MFS 2021’, is an “excellent showcase” for Malaga creators and a “great opportunity to show their work, promote themselves and find business opportunities”, at a time “especially difficult for the sector, given the absence of fairs or festivities and at a time when there have hardly been weddings or large celebrations ”.
The inauguration of the day on Friday 10, at 9:00 p.m., will be in charge of the designers Victorio & Lucchino, and will continue with the parades of La Mosquita Spain; Leo Norma; Sena Design; Susana hidalgo and the signature Marie Claire. Will close the parade Pepe Canela, designer attached to Málaga de Moda. Saturday’s day will feature the parades of Aurora Gavino; Jorge Sanchez; Papyvale-rie; Vertize Gala and Tinsa. The event will close Rafael Urquízar, Malaga designer also belonging to the promotional label of the Provincial Council.
On Saturday 11, in addition, Málaga de Moda, will sponsor a collective parade in which designers will participate adhered to the brand such as Magali Villanueva; Teressa Ninú; Vilanoestudio; Garcia Galiano; Moncho Heredia and the accessories firms Yobizna and Lucyclip. As was also the case with the Larios Catwalk, the seal of the Provincial Council promotes, for the first time in this event, a new talent contest, the Marbella Fashion Show Prize 2021, to promote and encourage young creators in the world of fashion and in which twelve designers will participate, selected at the provincial and national level. The winner will be able to present his complete and solo collection at the next edition of the Marbella Fashion Show next year.
Maldonado also conveyed to the attending designers this Thursday in the presentation the “firm commitment of the Diputación de Málaga with the sector” and his desire to “continue fostering public-private collaboration to recover for fashion Malaga is the place it deserves and that, until not long ago, we had ”.
In that sense, the first vice president ended up recalling the more than six million euros between specific aid to the textile sector and the self-employed, of which he has shown confidence that “they have served to prevent the closure of many businesses and that many people from Malaga have been able to go into unemployment.”
For the celebration of the parades, which will begin on both days at 9:00 p.m., there are planned all the security measures required by the authorities sanitary and there will be limited capacity in each of the parades.
