The tourist city of Marbella adds a new hotel five stars with the reopening of the emblematic El Fuerte hotel, where figures such as walt disneywhich has involved an investment of 31 million euros and has included an interior design project by the Catalan Jaime Beriestain.
El Fuerte, which had four stars until it was closed for renovation, opened its doors for the first time in 1957 and throughout its more than six decades of history, figures from culture, politics and the arts have passed through its facilities, such as Timothy Dalton, Rafael Alberti either Lola Flores.
Of the total investment, around 14 million have been allocated to the work itself, 10 have been invested in equipment and 7 in other aspects such as professional fees, licenses and expenses necessary for its reopening. The works to complete the reform of the hotel have had a period of 18 months and, once completed, the new El Fuerte has 266 rooms and a casual luxury decoration inspired by the Andalusian tradition, but with a contemporary look, they explain in a statement from the establishment.
On a visit with the mayoress of the city, angeles munozthe president of Fuerte Group Hotels, Isabel Garcia Bardonhas highlighted that the company’s commitment to remodeling the Marbella establishment “has entailed a tremendous effort from all the staff”.
And in this regard, he has highlighted that the objective of this commitment to improvement is none other than that the client who comes to Marbella “feels that it is the city of quality” that is promised and that culture and the “best values” are represented. For his part, Muñoz recalled that the El Fuerte hotel has a history of 66 years, and stressed that its remodeling and upgrade “means continuing to grow within Marbella’s offer of quality and excellence”.
The new Fuerte Marbella is committed to gastronomy hand in hand with the four Michelin stars from Huelva paco perez and its restaurant ‘Edge by Paco Pérez’, a space that will unite under the concept “Travelling Mediterranean Cuisine”.
The one by Paco Pérez at the Marbella hotel, which adds to the culinary offer of his Soleo restaurant, will be a proposal in which the local product will share the limelight with the views of the sea and the old town of Marbella.
