The City Council, through the Youth delegation, will celebrate this Friday, August 26, ‘The great game of the summer’, a gymkhana with more than 23 attractions full of tests and challenges and with prizes for the fastest teams. The councilor for the sector, Enrique Rodríguez, explained that the meeting will take place this Friday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. without interruption on the football field attached to the Antonio Serrano Lima Pavilion, with direct access from Vicente Blasco Ibáñez street. The day will be divided into two types of free activities: from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. users between 11 and 35 years old will be able to freely use the attractions and practice on the circuit, while from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. of the competitive contest, in this case for participants between 14 and 35 years old.

The mayor recalled that this initiative is part of the Young Summer program, “which is being a success in mobilizing the group”, and has detailed that inflatable games and attractions will be installed such as the sweeper, the pivot battle, the ‘hypermega slide ‘, dodging balls, the infinite loop, jumping into the void, the obstacle course, the labyrinth, the ball circuit, the triple roulodromo or dodging bars, as well as a space for party, music and foam cannon. “It is a novel activity that we already wanted to organize last year but that we had to postpone due to the pandemic,” he pointed out.

Regarding the contest in gymkhana format, it has specified that there will be two shifts, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. and from 6:30 to 8 p.m., in which teams made up of three components will compete to complete the circuit in the shortest time possible. Later, at 8:00 p.m., the top two finishers in each batch will play the final among themselves. Likewise, he pointed out that the first prize will be a travel voucher of 500 euros to be exchanged freely for hotel nights or travel; the second, three tablets; the third prize, digital sports watches, and the fourth prize, 20 movie tickets.

Registration for both activities can be made on the website www.marbella.es/juventud, choosing the time at which they wish to access on the forms. In the case of children under 14 years of age in the free shift, they must be accompanied by a responsible adult. For their part, attendees between the ages of 14 and 18 must have the authorization of a tutor to participate in any of the activities.
