The city of marbella will become the epicenter of world excellence tourism with the celebration of the congress organized by Traveler Made, a network of luxury travel agencies that will bring together 600 agents of the segment both virtually and at the Palacio de Congresos from this Sunday, March 27 to Thursday, March 31, as announced this Friday the mayor, Ángeles Muñoz.
The councilor has celebrated that this year will take place “the second face-to-face edition” of the event, since in 2020 and 2021 it was canceled due to the Covid-19 pandemic and took place virtually.
Munoz has pointed out that Traveler Made is “one of the most important business networks worldwide” and that concentrates “360 operators of luxury tourism in 64 countries”.
Thus, he stressed that the Palacio de Congresos will become “in the epicenter of excellence tourism and it will be a unique opportunity to make the offer known to the entire sector that occurs worldwide and particularly in Marbella”.
The mayor highlighted that the City Council signed “an agreement with the organization to host three face-to-face appointments”, so in this edition it will feature “450 operators and the commitment of the local agents of this network such as the Puente Romano, Marbella Club, Meliá Don Pepe and Villapadierna hotels”.
Muñoz has highlighted that the program will begin with a specialized visit to the Old Town of the city on the first day and that will continue with the inaugural conference in the Congress Palace, while during the rest of the days “the meetings and meetings between operators participants in order to publicize the luxury offer worldwide”.
The councilor recalled that the municipality “has been elected on second most valued destination to visit in 2022 in the contest promoted by the prestigious European Best Destinations travel website and in which the city has also achieved recognition as the most exclusive and prestigious of the 20 finalist locations” as a cover letter.
For her part, the Board’s Provincial Tourism Delegate, Nuria Rodríguez, highlighted the regional Administration’s commitment to the excellence tourism and the celebration of the congress in the coming years.
“We bet on the luxury and diversified segment because despite the crisis it never ceases”, Rodríguez has valued, who has valued the requirements that the province of Malaga has to attract this quality segment for its heritage, its location or the essence of an Andalusian town in its historic centers, as well as its luxury hotel offer and natural parks.
The president of the business network, Quentin Desurmont, pointed out that this year the congress “is going to host 600 people who are members and agents from around the world and suppliers”, of which 80 will connect virtually.
